Gypsy Rose Blanchard Expecting First Baby with Boyfriend Ken Urker.

The "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup" star, 32, who was famously involved in the 2015 killing of her mom Dee Dee after years of medical abuse, announced she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker, 31. She spilled the beans in a YouTube video titled "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far" on July 9.

“I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now,” Gypsy said. “And I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant.” She added, “Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025. This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we’re both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”

In her video, Gypsy also addressed concerns from her followers. “I know that there are going to be people who feel like I’m not ready to be a mother,” she said. “But honestly, is anyone really ready to be a mother?” She got emotional, saying, “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”

Gypsy's relationship with Urker has a dramatic backstory. They initially connected while she was in prison, with Urker starting as a pen pal. He proposed in 2018, but their relationship ended before her 2023 release. At that time, Gypsy was married to Ryan Anderson, whom she wed while still incarcerated.

“Ken and I reconnected as friends,” Gypsy explained. “We had kept a friendship for the longest time. He was in a relationship, I was with Ryan, and so we were living different lives with respect to our partners, a ‘wish you the best’ type of thing.”

 The Rekindling Romance

After her marriage to Anderson fell apart, Gypsy turned to Urker. “It wasn’t until I knew that my marriage was over that I was like, ‘I would like to see you and let’s hang out because we never got to hang out before when I was in prison,’” she said. She added that her connection with Urker felt like her first real love, not based on fantasy but on a genuine bond.

Gypsy’s stepmom, Kristy Blanchard, played matchmaker in rekindling their romance. “It’s all my fault, and I’ll gladly take the blame. I wanted them back together,” she told PEOPLE. “Gypsy will finally get her happily ever after.”

 Future Challenges and Parenting

In December 2023, Gypsy reflected on the challenges of explaining her past to her future children. “It’s hard because I’m going into a new life, and I’m going to have to explain to my kids why their grandmother on mommy’s side isn’t around. And that’s going to be a really hard conversation.”

But one thing she’s certain of is not repeating her mother’s abusive patterns. “Whenever someone says, ‘Do you think that because of what you went through, you’re going to do that to your kids?’ I say, ‘You know what? Absolutely not.’” Gypsy, who continues to receive therapy, is confident in her ability to be a good parent.

So, there you have it, folks! Gypsy Rose Blanchard is not only moving on with her life but is about to take on the exciting and unpredictable adventure of motherhood. Here’s to new beginnings and unexpected journeys!
