Danny Trejo Takes on ‘Coward’ Water Balloon Thrower During July 4th Parade
Actor Danny Trejo, 80, took matters into his own hands during a Fourth of July parade when a water balloon was hurled at his baby blue Corvette. Video footage shows Trejo, dressed in a long-sleeved white shirt and black pants, leaping out of his car to confront the suspected balloon thrower.
Trejo's punch missed its mark, and the “Spy Kids” star was pushed to the pavement by the man in a tank top and backward hat. Chaos ensued as a brawl erupted between the suspect and others who joined the fray.
In the video, Trejo is seen getting up, grabbing a green foldable chair, and tossing it into the melee. A woman rushed to restrain him, with others joining in to help hold him back as parade-goers pleaded for calm, especially since children were present.
The altercation took place during the Independence Day Parade in Sunland-Tujunga, Los Angeles. Police reported that the crowd had dispersed by the time officers arrived, and no arrests were made.
